The government appointed commandants of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Osha and Jalal-Abad

Due to the introduction of a state of emergency and curfew in the capital and some regions of Kyrgyzstan, the government appointed three commandants Diamond Orozaliyev, Malik Nurdinov and Zhenish Yorobekov, the press service of the government reports. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Almaz Orozaliyev held a post of the commandant of the city of Bishkek, the chief of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Osh region of Malik Nurdinov a post of the commandant of the city of Osh, Cara-Suysky and Nookatsky districts of the Osh region, and the chief of service on counteraction to extremism and illegal migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Zhenish Dzhorobekov on a post of the commandant of the city of Jalal-Abad and Suzaksky district of the Jalal-Abad region. The news agency recalls that earlier President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov signed decrees imposing a state of emergency on the territory of the cities of Bishkek, Osha and Jalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Sui districts of the Osh region, as well as in Suzak district of Jalal-Abad region for the period from March 25 to April 15, 2020. The reason for this was the identification in the territory of Kyrgyzstan of 42 citizens infected with COVID-19, as well as the hospitalization of 96 other Kyrgyz citizens suspected of coronavirus infection.
