US restricted military travel to Italy and South Korea due to coronavirus
The Pentagon, in connection with the coronavirus outbreak, decided to limit the travel of American troops to Italy and South Korea. This was reported in the press service of the U.S. Army on March 8. The command decided to limit until May any kind of travel from the United States to Italy and South Korea and back to slow the spread of coronavirus, TASS reported in the press service. It is also noted that a temporary ban was imposed on the participation of troops of these states in joint exercises with American soldiers. According to the news agency, as of March 7 in Italy, the number of deaths caused by coronavirus infection was 233 COVID-2019 The total number of confirmed coronavirus detections reached 5,883. As a result, the Italian authorities have completely restricted the entry and exit of 26 Italian provinces, including the closure of Lombardy (with the 12th provinces), the administrative centre of which is Milan, as well as 14 other provinces, such as Parma, Piacenza, Rimini, Modena, Novara and other regions of Italy.
