Coronavirus outbreak revealed at meat processing plant in Australia


The sharp increase in the number of detected cases of new type of coronavirus is related to the identified hotbed of infection at a meat processing plant in the Australian state of Victoria, said the head of the region Daniel Andrews at a press conference. According to him, out of 22 patients identified in Australia during the day with coronavirus SARS- CoV -2 19 are employees of meat processing plant. The Chief Sanitary Doctor of Victoria stressed that the focus of the disease does not pose a threat to the health of the residents of the region. Thus, the total number of confirmed cases of new type coronavirus infection in the Australian state of Victoria reached 1,406.
