Ford has developed ADA autonomous driving technology
Engineers of the American company Ford created ADA (Active Drive Assist) autonomous driving technology. This was reported by the press service of the automaker. It is noted that Ford cars will be equipped with new technology in 2021. Among the first cars to receive the Active Drive Assist system will be the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover. The Active Drive Assist system will be included in a special Active 2.0 package and will be included in the list of available equipment at the beginning of crossover sales. Also in the second half of 2021, the American company will begin to sell ADA software. Customers will be able to install the software for the standalone system by visiting their local dealer or wirelessly. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the ADA system, said Ford Global Program Director Darren Palmer. He added that the cost of the system will be relatively small. At the moment, Ford experts have added more than 100,000 miles of roads in the United States and Canada to a specially created database. Recall that Ford, as part of a partnership with the Indian corporation Mahindra, plans to create four crossovers. At the same time, two crossover models will be produced under the Ford brand, and two more under the Mahindra brand. See also: Ford will expand the line of Fiesta units
