Presidential candidate of Belarus reported threats against her

Presidential candidate Anna Kanopatskaya refused to hold street pickets due to threats repeatedly received by her and children. She herself announced this on July 26 on her page on the Facebook social network after meeting with proxies and the leadership of her headquarters. Everyone agreed (during the meeting) that given the threats that came to me, against my children and proxies, the decision to refuse to hold pickets was correct, she wrote. According to her, the country's authorities are not able to protect someone, which makes street campaigning unsafe. According to the news agency, on July 20, the Supreme Court of Belarus decided to dismiss the complaint of Valery Tsepkalo participating in the presidential campaign against the decision of the CEC not to register him as a presidential candidate.
