Two new imported cases have been confirmed in Shanghai COVID-19 over the past day and not a single new local case, Xinhua News Agency reported on July 28. According to the municipal health commission, of the two imported patients, two patients turned out to be workers who arrived in the city from Singapore and Ethiopia. All 35 close contacts that fell ill were taken under medical supervision. In total, 401 imported cases of COVID-19 and 342 local cases were confirmed in Shanghai.
