Ukrainian Foreign Minister: Donbass will not receive veto rights on national decisions

Donbass will not receive the veto on national decisions in Ukraine if the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics return to Kiev's control. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with Glavkom, published on August 1. The journalist of the publication asked the question of what compromises Ukraine is ready for in the negotiations on the Donbass. Answering the question, Kuleba said that the first thing Ukraine should get control of the border. The second status of individual regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, determined by law and within a wide form of decentralization and the absence of any veto rights on national decisions. We remain a unitary state, decentralized. Everything else needs to be negotiated, but this is what we are doing, he summed up.
