Georgian Metropolitan criticizes the country's pro-Western course

Georgia's pro-Western course is harmful to the country, and it needs to be revised. He made such a speech during the sermon of Metropolitan of the Georgian Orthodox Church (GPC) Wani and Bagdati Antony (Bulukhia) before his parishioners. The priest pointed out that representatives of opposition parties and non-governmental organizations financed from the United States and the European Union constantly incite hatred against the Orthodox Church and support the LGBT community. The Metropolitan cited accusations that GPC receives 25 million lari (about $7.9 million) per year from the state budget. Think: 25 million for the three million population. There are 59 tetri (about 18) per capita per month. You are not ashamed to accuse us of this?, says Bulukhia in an address posted on the Facebook social page of his diocese. In his opinion, the church brings much more benefits to society. He also believes that such a position will not allow to give an answer to the Russian narrative, and in Georgia it is necessary to hold a referendum with the question of whether the population of the country wants to move a course in which hate the Church and disregard traditions and sanctity of the family? Recall, in January 2008 in Georgia held a referendum on the course to join NATO. 56.2% of citizens came to the vote, of whom 77% answered this question positively.
