Spain will declare national mourning for the victims of the pandemic COVID-19
The Government of Spain will declare a 10-day national mourning for the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was announced on 23 May by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom, Pedro Sanchez. As Sanchez stated, ten days of national mourning will be declared throughout Spain from 26 May. Mourning in memory of the victims of the pandemic will last ten days, it will be the longest official mourning in the history of the country. At the same time, Sanchez clarified that the decision on another extension of the high-readiness regime will be taken later. As explained by the Prime Minister of Spain, the epidemiological situation is currently under study, and it is not yet possible to say exactly whether a decision will be taken to extend the regime. Earlier, the news agency reported on the decision of the Government of Spain to resume the 2019,2020 football season. The decision was made in connection with the weakening of measures to combat the spread of coronavirus.
